A group of historians and archaeologists prepare a Tudor Christmas feast that would have been prepared over 400 years ago, using only the resources and techniques of 16th century Tudor England, including the clothes that were worn. The film covers not only the details involved in preparing the food and settings, but also the traditions and mentality of the times. The re-enactment or re-creation was made possible through meticulous research and study of historical sources and documents and information gleaned from archaeological finds and research.
