Peter Sahlins is a historian of early modern Europe and professor emeritus of history at the University of California, Berkeley. His book, Neanderthals Among Us: The Making of a Prehistoric Human (Oneworld, 2026), has been published in Great Britain and will be released in North America by Harvard University Press in January 2027.
